Looking Back on the js13kGames Feedback

Looking Back on the js13kGames Feedback

Hello, this is Yuu! The voting period started on September 14, and so far I’ve received 20 pieces of feedback across the two games. That’s ten each for Rainbow Speed and Prism Rush, and both include one comment from an expert. Thank you again to everyone who left feedback. I actually started writing this post last week and ended up rewriting it. I feel like I spent a bit too much time on replies, both to comments on my own games and to other people’s entries. That said, there was a lot to take away from each individual piece of feedback, and rereading them made the gap between what I had designed at the time and what actually came back quite clear. I’d like to go through it game by game.

Prism RushCollect as many gems as you can in 90 seconds! Lock on, chain nearby gems together, and release to capture them all at once. Play in js13kGames This time, I’d like to look back on the game and talk about how it turned out.

Taking on the Online Category

Hello, this is Yuu! I finished my js13kgames entry last week, and while I personally think it turned out quite well, the number of entries in the general category has grown rapidly since then. There are already 63 submitted entries, and if we include unfinished ones, there are well over 100 entries in total. In contrast, there were only four entries in the online category last week, and there are still only five as of the time of writing this post.
